Graffiti Removal for Business Improvement Districts
Visible, reportable improvement across your district. We help Business Improvement Districts in Greater Manchester and Cheshire keep town centres clean and presentable — with regular rounds, hotspot work and the before-and-after evidence that shows levy payers exactly where their money went.
A Business Improvement District lives or dies on visible value. Levy payers are businesses, and businesses want to see what their money bought — not a strategy document, but a cleaner street outside their door. Graffiti, stickers and fly-posting are among the most visible problems in any town centre and among the easiest to demonstrate progress on, which makes them a natural focus for BID spend.
No Graffiti works with town-centre and district programmes across Greater Manchester and Cheshire to deliver exactly that kind of visible, evidenced improvement. Regular rounds keep the core presentable, targeted work deals with the persistent hotspots, and dated before-and-after photography gives you material you can put straight in front of your levy payers and your board.
Proving the levy is working
The hardest question a BID manager gets asked is some version of "what am I paying for?" Cleanliness is one of the few answers that people can see from their own shop window. A stretch of frontage that was tagged on Friday and clean on Monday is an argument that makes itself, particularly when you can show the pair of photographs alongside it.
We structure our reporting around that reality. Work is recorded by location with dated before-and-after images, so you can build a newsletter item, a board update or a renewal-ballot case without having to reconstruct what happened months earlier. When a levy payer asks whether their street has been done, you can answer with evidence rather than assurance.

Regular rounds that keep the core presentable
One-off blitzes look impressive for a fortnight and then fade. A scheduled round — weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your budget and footfall — keeps the district at a consistent standard instead of cycling between clean and neglected. Because our teams cover the full range of street-level problems rather than graffiti alone, a single visit can deal with tags, stickers, fly-posting, gum and grubby street furniture in one pass, which is considerably better value than coordinating several contractors.
Time a round to land just before your busiest trading period or a major event. The district is at its best exactly when the most people are there to notice.
Planning your cleaning programme?
Tell us the size of your district and the standard you want to hold, and we will set out what a realistic programme looks like.
What a BID programme usually includes
Every district is different, but most programmes we run are built from the same components:
- Graffiti removal across shopfronts, shutters, alleyways, service yards and the pedestrian core.
- Sticker and fly-posting removal from lamp columns, cabinets, doorways and signage.
- Chewing gum removal from paving in the highest-footfall stretches, where build-up is most obvious.
- Street furniture cleaning — benches, bins, planters, bollards, signage and shelters.
Dealing with the hotspots properly
Every district has three or four locations that account for most of the problem — a service alley, a run of roller shutters, a particular gable end. Cleaning them on repeat is expensive and demoralising. The better answer is usually an anti-graffiti coating on those specific surfaces: once treated, subsequent tags lift off far more easily, so the same budget covers more of the district. We flag candidates as we work rather than waiting to be asked.
We are fully insured, hold CHAS accreditation, and provide RAMS for each location — which matters when you are working in a public realm shared with a local authority and private landowners. Our teams work out of Macclesfield across Greater Manchester and Cheshire East; the towns we cover are listed on our areas we cover page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work before businesses open?
Yes, and for most BIDs that is the sensible approach. Working early morning means the district is visibly improved as businesses open and shoppers arrive, with no disruption to trading or pedestrian flow.
Can you provide evidence we can show levy payers?
Yes. We supply dated before-and-after photographs by location, which BIDs routinely use in newsletters, board packs and renewal-ballot material. Demonstrating visible improvement is usually the whole point of the spend, so we make that easy to prove.
Some frontages get tagged again and again — what can be done?
Repeatedly targeted surfaces are the right candidates for an anti-graffiti coating. Once treated, future tags come off far more quickly and cheaply, which turns an expensive recurring problem into a routine one. We can identify the worst offenders during our rounds and price treating them.
